Heyyy, I just thought I'd jump on here super quick to yap a little. Today I'm just going to yap a little about stuff that's going on right now. I'll finish with some quotes from my kids at work cuz we could all use a little serotonin boost on a Monday.

Ok first of all I wanna talk a little about Hannah Montana. I know everyone's talking about it right now cuz they just had their 20th anniversary special (which I didn't watch cuz I'm a loser and I don't have Disney Plus). I was obsessed with Hannah Montana when I was little. Mostly toward the end of the show cuz I was legit 6 months old when it came out. The music still slaps tbh and not just cuz of nostalgia, like it's genuinely good. He could be the one is my OG fave but I also really like Gonna Get This (I always thought I'd have to use the phrase 'the real McCoy' more than I have in my adult life), Nobody's Perfect and Rock Star. I might be a little more biased towards the movie cuz I've seen it more times than I can count. Little Taylor in the Hannah Montana movie is everything iykyk. It made me feel like I could be a rockstar. Although me and my preschool bestie did want to be the mean girls instead of Miley and Lily so idk what that says about me. They re-ran the show on Disney Channel when I was 10 and that's the first time, I actually remember watching all the episodes (and not just the last season aka Hannah Montana Forever).

Now for a little bit more about my Operación Triunfo obsession cuz I fear I shall never be able to consume all the media related to that show. I've been really into season 1 (2001) and the 2017 season recently. Let me divide this up because I have so many thoughts.
Season 1 things:
-this show does showmances like no other reality show I've seen (not that I watch reality TV)
-David Bisbal and Chenoa!!
-She's so cool (Chenoa) I watched her entire casting video and I love her confidence
-Every Gala performance I've seen of hers she is serving and also giving 1000%
-The tension between her and Bisbal during their performance of Escondidos is just too good
-this show was so messy cuz wdym she had a serious boyfriend that she lived with going into the show
-RIP Àlex he was so talented
-Natalia was a cutie patootie
-How did so many of these people become so successful????
-I love the trios with the boys they need to do more of those next season (2027) cuz yk I love a boyband
-They had a visit from freaking Shakira
-Nuria was the OG facecard de España
2017 things:
-Miss Amaia de España is so unserious I love her
-Ex. her leading an acapella version of Viva la Vida just for funsies (except they only sang the oohs cuz nobody knew the actual words)
-Ex. her twerking during the Christmas Gala during a very serious song
-Alfred was so cutie I love how he just brought out his trombone in the middle of his gala 0 performance
-Amaia and Alfred were such a cute showmance go and watch their performance of City of Stars
-Ana War had such a good improvement
-Mimi aka Lola Indigo did not deserve to be the first one eliminated but props to her for coming back multiple times to perform in later seasons
-NEREA SHOULDVE BEEN A FINALIST I've said it before I'll say it again
-she was so talented I'll never understand why she was never a favorite
-I love Aitana, I do, but they did her dirty with some of the songs she was given
-Ik Sia was popular during that time, but why did her songs have a chokehold on this season?
-The way they paired her up with a 28-year-old man (she was barely 18) to sing No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti is disgusting and so is the kiss at the end
-I don't care if they were really together at the time it's weird and not ok
Other TV things, I started watching Veronica Mars. I finished High Tides the other day and let me tell you it was insane. Season 3 is coming out next week and I'm so excited. The English dub started to bother me, so I watched it in the original Flemish with English subtitles. I have very little concept of what's happening but I'm here for it. Louise's actress deserves an award for her performance on this show she's so good. From what I understand: Daan moves to a rich coastal town in Belgium for the summer where his mom, Melissa got a job nannying for a rich family. Melissa wanted to get close to the VanDaels cuz her sister used to work for them, and she disappeared (they unalived her and stashed the body in concrete). Patrick VanDael, the dad, is a corrupt businessman. Eleonore, the mom, smokes and worries and does nothing. Alex, the oldest son, is chaotic and toxic. Olivia, the youngest daughter, is a little strange. She found out that her dad had done some shady stuff and she hated him so at the end of season one she pew pews him and pushes him down the stairs. He spent most of season 2 essentially being a vegetable. His mom, Jacqueline, causes problems, marries her male nurse, Thomas, who has it out for Patrick cuz his dad used to work for him. Daan gets involved with Alex and his messy friend group and things go south fast.
Back to Veronica Mars, I'm not real far into it yet but I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm on episode 5 or 6 I think. Nobody looks like they're in High School but I'm here for it. Kristen Bell is iconic. Troy is a little boring but idk if I want Veronica to get back with Duncan. I love Veronica she's so clever. I love the concept of solving real crimes from the high school bathroom.
Now as promised here are some things that have happened at work recently. I will be changing the kids' names cuz I don't wanna get sued. This one kid drives me absolutely insane, we'll call him Troy. He doesn't listen, he thinks he knows everything, his sass is off the charts. But I love him. He's so smart, he's teaching himself how to read, he's obsessed w High School Musical, Your Idol from KPOP Demon Hunters. He's gonna grow up to be a green flag cuz he has three older sisters.
Another kid, we'll call him David, was such a drama king on Friday. He came up to be in the middle of centers, sobbing, cuz his finger was bleeding. I asked him what happened, he said he didn't know. He was holding a small jingle bell; I asked him if he cut himself on it, he said no (that's what I put on the accident report). I took care of it, he was completely fine but wanted to hang out in the calm down area for a while. I went over to check on him, he says his finger still hurts so he can't go outside. Then he starts telling me he's getting picked up soon (he was not) because of his tiny fit right under the nail on his middle finger.
